A collaboration between Gucci and Brooklyn based street artist Trevor ‘Trouble’ Andrew.
It started as an experimental art project where Andrew, an Olympic snowboarder-turned-artist, spray-painted deconstructed Gucci logos on New York streets.
The project began when Andrew didn't have a Halloween costume and cut eye-holes in a bootleg Gucci scarf.
He leaned into the alter-ego, creating a massive following by tagging trash cans, abandoned refrigerators, and apparel with graffiti-inspired "GG" logos, dripping ghouls, and stars.
When former Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele discovered Andrew's work in 2016, he didn't sue him. Instead, Michele brought him on to collaborate on Gucci’s Fall/Winter collection. The partnership resulted in a massive, commercially successful 70-piece line featuring jackets, handbags, shoes, and jewellery.
