2014 was the “Year of the Horse” on the Chinese Zodiac calendar, Vans created a special celebratory set to ring in the occasion. The Vans “Year of the Horse” Collection featured four different colour ways of their iconic Sk8 Hi.
Working with over 15 different Chinese creative personalities, Vans exorcized their self-expression motto and embodied creativity.
They were presented in solid black, red, blue, and pink, these renditions of the classic model each speak to a contemporary western cowboy style.
Composed of faux horse hair with leather heel counters and horseshoe print on the waffle sole.
